Well 2 long years of engagement and Nicole and I finally got married. I know I typically don’t post non zephuros/music related materials on here, but I felt I needed to. Since this of course is one of those big life events. If you are on twitter we also had guests use the hashtag “#justmeyered” in their tweets. So there should be live tweets for you to relive the events. If you so choose.
I tell you what, we got incredibly lucky on the day. It was absolutely gorgeous outside for photos. The leaves had just changed earlier in the week. Not hot, not cold. I don’t even think there was a cloud in the sky. Things for me I believe were a little slower for the day than Nicole as I had a lot of sitting around and waiting. Letting nerves get to me.

I had some nervousness when I was alone when I woke up and started to get ready. But it cooled off when I got with the groomsmen which we later decided to call the G-Unit. They really came back at around 2:59 (ceremony started at 3) when the coordinator came told me it was time to go. As soon as I heard that my arms turned to jelly and my fingers were tingling. It was actually happening. I was getting married. WHOAAA.
I don’t really even remember much of the opening. Just standing there fiddling thumbs and doing all sorts of other things to take my mind of my heart that was about to burst out of my chest. Then I saw her. And couldn’t stop smiling.
It was the quickest ceremony and it was awesome. Seriously only lasted around 20 minutes.

We then went on a photograph spree which was so much fun yet incredibly tiring. Both Nicole and I are very photogenic so we were hamming it up when it came to having our picture taken. I bet our photographers loved the session. Because we had fun and our personalities came out. I seriously cannot wait to see those photos.
If anyone in the Chicagoland is getting married and looking for a photographer we went with the company Timothy Whaley. Our photographers were everything we could have asked for.

After the 2ish hour photo session we had a bit of a hiccup. We were supposed to have a shuttle take us from the Morton Arboretum to our reception hall The Abbington at 5:30 for the start of our reception at 6:00. It didn’t show up until after Nicole called TWICE. We got to the reception hall around 6:20. That is unacceptable.
The hotels were honestly the worst part of the wedding and the planning process. They weren’t very helpful at all. Hilton Lisle/Naperville and Wyndham Lisle. We were upset with the Hilton for awhile and didn’t expect the Wyndam to become super rude. They had been everything we wanted when we contacted them after the Hilton filled up. But it was the Wyndham’s shuttle that left us sitting for 40 minutes.
But then the party started. And it was epic.

I couldn’t have asked for a better night. I got to marry the love of my life and my best friend. She’s everything to me and I’m incredibly excited to start this next chapter.
Ok, enough of that. Now I got to make music.
