Album teaser!

This song was named by one of the pledgers it’s called Equinox.

The votes are still coming in for the album title and it’s kind of interesting how one sided it is. And it’s not the one I thought would be winning. So that was really cool.

Check your emails if you pledged and haven’t yet voted / provided more information. Still waiting on about 13 or so people. 

But enjoy the teaser and here’s another teaser (artwork for the current leading title) of course its all blurred. I put the title of the song over this so it works as the artwork for the Equinox Teaser. Make sense? haha

Here’s how Two Sons is coming along. Nate added some sweet additions and I really am liking how it’s coming together. 

He sent me a bunch of tracks for my initial thoughts. Which was way more than I was expecting since he’s typically super busy. So hopefully he can keep the pace up and this will be done soon.

I really like how it turned out. Some uke action in the background. Nice.

New tune! I did a little mixing on my own here. Just to get the song together. But I’m happy with at least how the vocals/gtr turned out.

Also first recording done in the new apartment. Had to fight do take between fridge and heat turning on, but it was pretty quiet for most of the time.

I haven’t posted a track in awhile. So I got this one back from Nate last week. It’s an unmixed version of Oh, Sparrow. I think it sounds pretty cool. He was still going to add some other things to it. Atmospheric things. Exciting.

I think I’ll be able to finish up the album quickly once we move. (Which is Saturday!) It will be a quieter place and I’ll have more alone time to actually record.

Alright folks. Here we go. This is a rough mix for the final version of Silhouette. Nate added some sweet backing instruments. It has a neat sound to it. 

I’m really happy with how this turned out. He’s still gotta fine tune everything, but still excited for it. Just gotta finish up a couple more songs on my end. I think I have 4 or 5 left. I’ve been sidelined the past week with being sick. And the upcoming wedding has taken priority. (11 days). But I think I’m in good shape since the incredibly slow start to recording after Kickstarter was approved.

I really need to get out and play more after this wedding. It’s ridiculous how long it’s been. Obviously it would be way easier with a car and/or living in the city. But I’m really missing it.

What do you think? Do you dig?

Here’s the Intro tune. It probably won’t be the whole 1:46. Will cut it around :51 or 1:15 ish. When I was recording it, someone came home towards the end. I’m not sure if you can hear it. 

So this will lead right into Silhouette. Which I kind of want to rename Poison now. Not sure yet. The intro will be named by Nicole. 

Maybe the whole album could be called Poison. I don’t know if that’s a bad thing to name it after something so negative.

I might email this guy about his photo which inspired me to write Silhouette. I’ve posted it before, but it’s this photo:
